Juxtarenal AAA Suprarenal Clamping, Reimplantation of Left Renal Artery, Reimplantation of Inferior Mesenteric Artery

If the abdominal aortic aneurysm extends close to the renal arteries or slightly above we talk about a juxtarenal AAA. In order to perform a proper anastomosis close to the origin of the renal arteries, the aorta needs to be clamped suprarenally or interrenally. Suprarenal crossclamp duration should not be more than 30 minutes. Therefore proper preparation of the clamp site is needed.

All Steps in Detail

Step 1: Exposition

Step 2: First renal anastomosis

Step 3: Proximal aortic anastomosis

Step 4: Renal artery anastomosis

Step 5: Inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) anastomosis
